Stainless steel grinders are long-lasting, aesthetically pleasing, and composed of a material commonly used in culinary preparation. Purchase ours as well .
Sticker shock is real. It’s inconceivable to spend more than $100 on what appears to be a straightforward grinder, is it? So why are stainless steel grinders so damn expensive? Why should I purchase one, too? Do grinders made of stainless steel pay off? Proceed with caution.
The reasons behind considering grinders made of stainless steel.
1. They are made to last almost a lifetime.
One very durable material is stainless steel. This material maintains its sharpness for an outrageously long time and is incredibly resistant to corrosion. Because herbs are soft, grinding them with it won’t cause undue wear on the teeth.
2. They are sexy.
Sure, you may pretend it doesn’t exist when you take out your garden-variety grinder during a session with your mates.
However, you can be sure that just having a high-quality stainless steel grinder out will pique your friend’s curiosity and lead to some fascinating discussions about it (or the quality of anything in general).
Individuals with a sincere and purposeful sense of quality are usually highly esteemed. And this is virtually a given when using a stainless steel grinder.
3. They’re healthier for you. Seriously.
There’s a reason kitchen knives made of zinc or aluminum aren’t sold. Due to their qualities, certain materials are considered dangerous and make horrible options for food prep.
Aluminum is pliable. Aluminum will corrode if it is worn down enough times. This translates to aluminum shavings from the teeth strewn over your plant while it’s in grinder form. Aluminum consumption is not recommended at all. For chamomile tea, I personally use my herb grinder.
Zinc is stronger than aluminum, we’ll give it that. But most, if not all, zinc grinders come in colors, meaning they are all painted. Paint is not metal (although some may have metal in them). Therefore, they will absolutely flake and peel off. To be honest, we’d rather face the threat of aluminum than risk consuming any paint material.
Steel made of stainless steel is robust. That’s why your silverware is made of it. There’s a reason your knives are made of titanium, assuming you chose not to go that path. It is practically impenetrable to rusting or corrosion, incredibly strong, and maintains its sharpness (just keep it away from anything with chloride, such salt and bleach).
Whether we use them for cooking, making tea, or chopping our favorite herbs, grinders are an essential part of our daily lives. For the reasons listed above, it’s also critical to understand the composition of our grinders.
Grinders made of stainless steel are the best option. They are built to last a very, very long time, making them a good investment.
